7 Signs It's Time to Replace Your Windows
Foggy glass, drafts, and rising bills all point to the same conclusion — your windows are past their prime.
Windows don't last forever. Here are the seven signs we look for when a customer isn't sure whether to repair or replace.
- Condensation or fog between the panes — the seal has failed
- Drafts even when the window is closed and locked
- Difficulty opening, closing or locking
- Water damage or rot on the frame or sill
- Rising energy bills with no other explanation
- Loud outside noise you never used to hear
- Visible cracks, chips, or damaged weatherstripping
If you see two or more of these, it's almost always more cost-effective to replace than to repair — especially with today's energy prices.
